Our Story
For generations, our family business, J.B. Crowell & Son, fostered a great appreciation for craftsmanship, hard work, and innovation. Our hand-made brick moulds were sold to brick-makers across the country, with direct contribution to the construction of America, and New York City in particular, throughout the industrial revolution. With an ever-changing landscape and fluctuating demand for niche-market wooden brick moulds, brand founders and father-son duo, Brian and Kevin Crowell, sought a path to elevate the Crowell family legacy. As time went on, rumors of a still beneath the factory floorboards circulated and the Crowell family uncovered evidence of a prohibition-era whiskey business serving the factory’s workers, local farmers and brick-maker clients. American Brick Bourbon was born out of the Crowell family’s dedication to craft, respect for their local environment and celebration of American-made products. Now a two-time international gold medal winner, American Brick Bourbon is a symbol of the American dream. This is our family legacy, and we hope to inspire others to build theirs – one brick at a time.
